Idea for a Short Reykjavik City Break
Day 1: Arrival & Private Transfer
We can pick you up on one of our super-jeep and your Iceland adventure starts right away with a tour but more often travelers prefer an easy first day. We can arrange a private airport transfer for you directly to your hotel in Reykjavik or if your flight is early in the day, we can add a visit to the Blue Lagoon and/or do a short city introduction tour.
Day 2: Golden Circle + Glacier Super-Jeep Tour
The most popular tour for first time visitors is the Golden Circle + Glacier. On the glacier it’s possible to go snowmobiling for an hour. In winter, you might want go on a Northern Lights tour.
Day 3: Whale Watching and Horseback Riding
You can start the morning with a horseback riding tour and then continue after lunch with a whale watching tour from the old harbor in Reykjavik. We can book any tour or activity for you and we don’t add any mark up to their prices.
Day 4: Iceland’s South Shore
The second most popular tour in Iceland is some version of a south shore tour, whether it’s to see the black sand beaches, the famous Eyjafjallajokull volcano, two glaciers and beautiful waterfalls or to go hiking in Thorsmork Nature Reserve.
Day 5: Departure & Private Airport Transfer
If your departure flight is in the afternoon, it’s ideal to visit the Blue Lagoon on the way to the airport.
Our driverguides are knowledgeable about Iceland and will gladly adjust to your particular interest the best they can, whether it’s nature, geology, history, current affairs – or 4×4 stuff. We refer to it as ‘conversational guiding’. The interaction with our clients is a big part of why we love our jobs.
For your safety, Nature Explorer reserves the right to change tours according to weather and snow conditions
